PH Yacht Club has a lot to love. The location on Avenida Balboa is unbeatable, and one of the best features is the layout and views: in some apartments you can enjoy sunrise on the Cinta Costera side and sunset on the opposite side. Another major advantage is privacy—unlike parts of Marbella or Punta Pacífica where buildings are packed so tightly you’re looking straight into your neighbors’ windows, this tower feels more open and less “blocked,” which makes daily living much nicer.
That said, the building falls short where it matters most for comfort: construction quality and sound insulation. Because it sits on a major avenue, you really need premium windows and balcony doors, but street-facing rooms can pick up traffic noise more than expected (honking, loud cars, music). Even more frustrating is the noise transfer between apartments—you can hear everyday sounds from neighbors far too clearly (devices turning on, sneezing, showers running, kids laughing), which shouldn’t feel normal in a building at this price point.
A broader point for anyone apartment-hunting in Panama City: don’t assume “new” means well-built. Infiltration/humidity issues are common across many buildings, and mold should never be treated as normal—especially in a premium property. If you’re considering this building, the views and privacy are real strengths, but I strongly recommend visiting at different hours to assess noise and doing a careful inspection for soundproofing and any signs of humidity or past leaks before committing.
