Good only if the unit has been properly remediated and sealed.
I rented an Airbnb here for a few days after moving out of another place on Avenida Balboa. The apartment was large and looked great in photos, but once inside I found serious water-infiltration and visible mold (one bathroom plus walls/ceilings). Within days I developed skin rashes, allergy symptoms, and trouble breathing, and I left early because of the humidity/mold. Several residents told me this is common in the building and many owners have had to tear out finishes and invest heavily to fix chronic leaks and mold.
For context, in Panama mold and poor construction details—especially window sealing/sound insulation—are unfortunately common. That showed here too: the noise was intense; even high up, traffic and city sound came through like the windows were paper-thin.
If you’re buying, plan for waterproofing, professional mold remediation, window resealing/replacement, and ongoing dehumidification unless there’s strong documentation it’s already done. If you’re renting, ask for proof in writing (reports/receipts, not promises) that leaks were fixed and the unit was properly remediated and dehumidified.
I wasn’t here long enough to comment on administration or other building operations. This is purely my short-stay experience—a beautiful, spacious unit, but without those fixes, unhealthy and uncomfortable. With proper remediation and sealing, it could work—but verify first.
